Have a Heart Benefit for Jennifer Shih (LSU):
The "Have a Heart" website is to help support Jennifer Shih (LSU), fellow Delta Delta Delta sister and heart transplant recipient. In August of 2004, Jennifer was pursuing her goal of becoming a pediatric cardiologist. Ironically, just a few months into her fellowship, Jennifer encountered heart problems of her own. Within days of her first symptoms, Jennifer learned that a heart transplant was her only hope for survival. Miraculously, on September 12, 2004 Jennifer received her heart transplant. While Jennifer has a second chance at life, the road to recovery is long, costly, and uncertain. Her family and friends have planned a benefit in Atlanta to help raise money to support her new monetary responsibilities.
